Beliefs and Creation

THIS moment is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on what you wish to create going forward. For you are in control of your thoughts and visions and these will be reflected back to you in your reality.

You have the power and the wisdom to create that you seek but you must be very clear on what you want to achieve. If you can be very clear in your intention, then you will see a massive shift in the way things come into your life, quickly and effortlessly and without a struggle.

You can create the life that you wish and desire, but this does not mean that you sit on your laurels. Once you determine what you wish to achieve, you need to then move confidently in the direction of your goals; actioning the steps to achieve those said goals.

The universal energy will work with you, as YOU move forward confidently. The clearer you are about what you wish to achieve, the quicker the universal energy can create for you.

Imagine that you are like a magnet, as you visualise and assert your desires, you magnetise the universal energy toward you, bringing to you what you have declared you want in your life.

Be sure that your declaration to the universal energy is what you want as the universal energy listens and creates. If you want to magnetise energy toward you, you must be very clear about what you want.

When I listen to most people, I hear a variety of messages that are very often inconsistent with their goals and dreams. They have competing beliefs affecting their vision.

To give you an example, a person who desires happiness and wellbeing will also focus on what really annoys them and makes them angry. A person o desires riches (of any kind) will also focus on poverty thinking. I see this time and time again and I am asking you  to take time to ponder what you wish to create and manifest in your life going forward.

There is no way that you can have conflicting thoughts or positive and negative thoughts and achieve what you wish to achieve. For one will always be cancelling out the other. If you wish to achieve, focus on what you wish to create, declare that you are creating this and then do everything in your power to move in that direction, as you do this, you will magnetise the universal energy around you and draw to yourself the very people, situations and events that you require.  This is not uncanny or unusual but how the universe works, so be mindful of what you think and see in your mind’s eye, as this is what you will create in reality.

Over the past few years 'vision boards' have become the popular way to visualise what you wish to create. You can create a vision board by taking photos, pictures from magazines or from the web and plastering them onto a board which you then make sure is in your line of sight every day.

You can also think about what you want to create each night prior to falling asleep and first thing in the morning, when the brain is naturally in alpha brain waves (best for visualising). Or you could write yourself a message stating what you are going to achieve and how you are going to achieve it. You need to read this everyday.

Another way, is to brain storm, chat with a friend and fuel your passion by sharing ideas.

Over the years I have given out my goal setting booklet to hundreds of clients to help them focus on what they wish to achieve and how they will go about it. It works, its fun and its yours if you want it. Send me an email via our contact form and I will send it to you. By the way, mention in the notes 'goal setting booklet' please.

focus on your strengths

Today I was reminded yet again by spirit to: "focus on your strengths and not your weaknesses" I had been concentrating on a weakness! However, we grow from our strengths, because concentrating on these causes our confidence to soar.

When we focus on our weaknesses we are more inclined to feel bad about ourselves and this can cause our  confidence or self esteem to plummet.

Just for a minute, I want you to think about your strengths, what draws people to you? What are you good at? What are your assets? What do others admire about you?

Alternatively when you meditate next, ask spirit or intuition to reveal to you your strengths...

Each of us has strengths and weaknesses, focusing on our strengths will bring more happiness and wellbeing into our lives and cause less stress on your body.

If you have been focusing on your weaknesses you will tend to move away from pursuing your goals and dreams. A negative focus can be a form of self sabotage that can cause you to spiral downwards in energy and vitality. When you focus on what's "not right" with yourself you will lower your self esteem and all of your affirmations will be negative ones. You will be implying to yourself that you are not good enough.

As this focus comes from within you, you have an alternative that can cause you to spiral upwards in energy and vitality. And it is this, focus on your strengths, focus on what you are good at and do more of those tasks. This will raise your self esteem and confidence.

Over the past 25 years, there has been a coaching style developed in the sporting world called peak performance. As a result of the success of peak performance, this coaching style entered the mainstream and became known as Business and Life Coaching. The main techniques applied by business, sports and life coaches is that: - People grow from strength, not from weakness

This means that people grow by focusing on successful outcomes. Or in other words, "What have you done in the past that ensures your success?"

For example: in peak performance in sport, a golfer will focus on his best golf swing - he will visualise it, see it in his minds eye and then he will practice his swing physically. By focusing on what works - he will become better at what he does.

On the other hand, the golfer who plays haphazardly, sometimes good and sometimes bad, has no real focused direction and will continue to play haphazardly.

Peak Performance concentrates on what works and gets you to focus on improving what works.

If you focus on what works, you are focusing on successful outcomes and on your strengths.

If your focus on your weaknesses, then your goal attainment will be weak too. Sometimes doing well and sometimes not doing well.

Each and everyday say to yourself: "Is this thought leading me to or away from my goal?". If you are focusing on your weaknesses it is likely that you are procrastinating and not focused on your goals. If you are focusing on your strengths, what you can offer the world, then it is very likely that you are moving forward and attaining your goals.

A positive mind set motivates you to achieve your goals and dreams, where as a negative mind set can lead you to procrastination and frustration. Spiral up or spiral down. The choice for how you think, rests with you.

breath meditation

Breath meditation is a very simple meditation that you can practice almost anywhere.

Give yourself around 15 minutes to just relax and let the world go by. Then practice this meditation below. Read it first and then action it.

Sit in a comfortable position in your favourite armchair. Close your eyes and roll your shoulders backwards to open up your chest cavity.

Begin your meditation by saying the following intention "I call on the highest and purest energies of the universal life force energy to guide  me moment to moment as I experience this meditation. I ask to only experience that which is for my highest good".

Then, to begin:

Take a slow breath. A slow breath takes around three seconds to inhale and three seconds to exhale.
As you breathe in, imagine that you are breathing all the way down to just below your navel. Pause, and then exhale slowly. As you breathe, your abdomen will begin to expand and contract. If you find that your shoulders are rising and falling, this is due to shallow breathing where you breathe into the top two thirds of your lungs. To practice deep breathing, place your hands on your navel and feel your abdomen move out and in with each breath. The added benefit of deep breathing is that your diaphragm moves up and down which gently massages your lower organs. If you need to concentrate on slowing down your breath, count slowly to three on your inhalation and exhalation. 1......2.......3

Practice this breathing for around fifteen minutes a day to develop your meditation skills. Use this time solely to focus on your breathing technique.

Mind Traffic

If you find that you have a lot of thoughts surfacing, do not become distracted by them. If you have a pen and paper beside you, you can use the first five minutes of your meditation to write down your mind traffic. Just gently open your eyes, write the thoughts, then closed them again.

Focus Words

If you need something to focus on, you can use the word “calm” or “relax” on your outgoing breath. If you are tired, you may find yourself falling asleep during your meditation, this is quite normal. When you have a time restraint though, be sure to have a timer handy to wake you. If you use a timer to finish your meditation, be sure that it is not too close to you, as it may startle you when the alarm rings.

Alternatively, if you want to finish your meditation naturally, imagine that you are awakening from a deep sleep. Wriggle your toes, stretch slowly, open your eyes and focus on the room around you. When you feel that you are fully awake, you can attend to your usual activities.
